Frequently Asked Questions

Is it safe and does it hurt?

For each treatment I use a new, single use, disposable sterile needle conforming to the British and European Health and Safety standards. It's no more painful than having your eyebrows tweezered but I do apply a topical numbing agent before treatment begins to eliminate any discomfort.

What happens afterwards?
Normally after treatment the area becomes dry and flaky, I supply a gel to apply that will help moisturise and protect. Treatments to the lip area may occasionally cause a cold sore, using a topical treatment for a few days beforehand can help avoid this problem. Final results are seen at 28 days.

How long does it last?
Some pigment will remain in the skin permanently but will gradually fade over time. Results vary from client to client but on average can last between 3 and 5 years. I recommend a top up after 18 months to boost colour and definition.

Can it be used for anything else?
Yes. Permanent cosmetics are used for paramedical work. They are ideal for replicating realistic nipples onto reconstructed breasts after a mastectomy or covering scars, hare lips or even the correction of existing procedures.

"I can highly recommend this treatment, as a presenter on tv / model I am always pushed for time so not having the worry of penciling in or getting my brows to be the same shape every time is amazing, I am thrilled with the results... Semi permanent make up is definitely a must have. Thank you Sue."
